Jay Simmons RGN RMN ADCH

Clinical Hypnotherapist

I have over 30 years' experience as a registered general and mental health nurse in the NHS, working in crisis teams, community psychiatric teams and psychiatric liaison services, including at St George's, St Thomas' and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals in London, and with the Ministry of Defence and the Prison Service. I am currently a Senior Nurse Practitioner in liaison psychiatry at a major general hospital.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and am accredited by the NCH and UKCC.

My approach

My approach is collaborative, respectful and tailored to you. Effective therapy begins with understanding the person behind the problem. Together we explore the patterns, thoughts and behaviours that may be keeping a difficulty in place, and develop practical ways of making meaningful change.

Respect
Every client is treated as an individual.
Confidentiality
Private, non-judgemental sessions.
Collaboration
Therapy is something we work on together.
Evidence-informed practice
Techniques chosen carefully and appropriately.
Client autonomy
You stay in control, always.
